- Caring for your silver piece -

Part of the beauty of silver is that it tarnishes over time as you wear it, reacting with water and air. This creates a unique patina, bringing an element of the owner onto the surface of the silver.

However, to help keep your piece looking shiny and avoid excess tarnishing please:

• Avoid contact with chemicals (these include perfumes, lotions and hand gels).

• Remove rings when using power tools or climbing.

• Do not leave the ring in a wet or damp environment for prolonged periods as this will cause oxidisation.

To clean your silver piece:

• Wash it with warm soapy water (wear it in the shower!).

• For a deeper clean, buy silver polish or DIY clean it with bicarbonate of soda and aluminium foil.

Storage:

If you are not wearing your jewellery for an extended period please keep it in a airtight jewellery box or container to stop tarnishing.
